{tit}{cp}MACE MAIN CAP STUD GIRDLE TO SUIT BUICK, ECOTEC & L67 SUPERCHARGED V6 (To suit Buick, Ecotec & L67 Supercharged V6) These V6 Girdles are fabricated from 16mm Aluminum. Girdles increase the torsional rigidity of the cylinder block and evenly distributes load and dampens harmonics by bolting the main cap studs together. The increased rigidity and strength of these girdles on the bottom end allows extra stress to be placed on these motors. Highly modified vehicles using Nitrous Oxide, Turbochargers or Superchargers can aid from these girdles as the increased stress on the cylinder block is reduced. Audi RS6 saloon (2008): first pictures
Tue, 12 Aug 2008By Ben Whitworth First Official Pictures 12 August 2008 00:01 Following on from the RS6 Avant launched at the start of the 2008, Audi has revealed the saloon version of its hottest A6. And it’s hot! Like the estate, the four-door RS6 is powered by a twin-turbo 5.0-litre V10 with outputs to shame the CLS63 AMG and M5… With direct injection and dry-sump lubrication – always handy if you plan to knock off a few laps of the Nürburgring on the way home from work – the blown V10 whips up a supercar-rivalling 572bhp at 6250rpm and a mighty 479lb ft that kicks in at just 1500rpm.
Concept Car of the Week: Pininfarina Peugette (1976)
Fri, 20 Jun 2014Unveiled in 1972, the Peugeot 104 was a compact car with a simple and honest design by Paolo Martin. The most powerful ZS model was more of a warm hatch than a hot one, but it did feature a 1124cc engine with 66bhp. Thanks to the car's weight of only 760kg, the car could reach speeds of up to 100mph - terrifying in a 104.
